Easter morning we get up and get the boys around so we can meet my mom and everyone for a 9: 30 am breakfast. Not an easy task with 3 small children.
My job was to get them dressed and load the things in the car. Lukes job was to load the boys into the car. It seem to go rather smoothly, until...
We are sitting at Village Inn which is very busy when Harper starts being fussy. What could be the problem, you may ask? Well I look at him and no binky... That's an easy fix, find the binky and we are as good as gold! He loves his binky...
I look in the car seat, no binky. Diaper bag, purse, pocket... NO BINKY!! Panic sets in, with the binky MIA we will never make it out alive from breakfast. So I ask Luke " where's Harpers binky?" His response... " I don't know I didn't bring one."
I was in shock... He put him on the car seat without a binky. Anyone with common sense should know... Put him in carseat, find binky, leave house! Now here we are in the middle of a busy resturant on Easter with a mad baby! Not my idea of a good time! What to do?
Thankfully my mom came to the rescue. She had one of Abbie's.... He wasn't too fond of it and kept spitting it out but it soothed him enough to make it through breakfast. And YES it was PINK!
Daddy lesson learned that day: never leave home without the binky or your son may end up sporting a pink one in public!
