Fun in the Sun!!

Haley is here visiting from Oklahoma this week! This makes 5 yes, 5 kids that I am watching during the day. If I am not crazy yet, I might be after tomorrow...

We had a blast today, Justyce was only with us have the day, so it brought the count down to four. Haley and I also got about an hour of one on one time, while the little ones napped!

Loving summer right now!!

Yes, thats right... A MIRACLE!!

Last week I watched Abbie for my mom and Billy...adding one more to the bunch means more chaos. Which  its usually not that bad and sometimes it can even be fun! Then there are rare occasions when miracles happen...

Yes... all FOUR were sleeping at the SAME time!! Didn't last long, but I did enjoy that brief time of SILENCE!

I love having Abbie around.  It gives me an excuse to do girly things, which at my house is VERY rare. Luke keeps telling me, God gave me all boys so that I could have more Coach purses for myself....and I am definitely okay with that!

Toy Story 3 in 3D!

So Justyce and I continued his fun day Monday night, since we did not make it to the movie Saturday! He was so excited, he got popcorn...the whole works. I even paid more money for the one in 3D...which was a waste of money. Justyce did not like the glasses and did not wear them the entire time...oh well I enjoyed it lol! It was nice to have some one on one time with him, we will have to have more mommy and son dates soon!

(This is a reenactment of the 3D glasses..lol, they are actually Harper's)

Happy Fathers Day!

Last Sunday we went down to Mountain Grove to Luke's parents. We had a BBQ and played horseshoes. The boys love it down there, there are chickens to chase,  cows to look at, and may other things they can get into! It was a nice way to spend the day...
And the best part of the day... was definitely, Aunt Margie's peanut butter corn flake cookies! Yummy :) !

Justyces' Fun Day!

Last Saturday Rylee went to the lake with Luke's sister to the lake, so I let Justyce pick a day of fun! We started out at Starbucks, Justyce ordered his usual a strawberry creme frappacino...

After our caffeine fix we headed over to Pigtails & Crewcuts so he could get his haircut like Rylee...

We ran a few other errands, picking him up some "treasures" along the way. Next, on the agenda was to go Toy Story 3 in 3D. However, once we got home to drop Harper off with Luke, we both crashed on the bed and took a nap. Having slept through our movie, Justyce decided he wanted to go swimming next...

All in all its was a fun day for Justyce...mission accomplished!

Pigtails & Crewcuts

Rylee finally got a haircut!! He was in desperate need of one! As much as I will miss the curls, he looks so handsome and grown up!!

Up next on the chopping block... Justyce this Saturday!

Dreams do come true...

Cleanning is a never ending task at my house. It seems like no matter how much I clean my house it  is always dirty or in some sort of disaray! At first I used to loose sleep over this, ( I am a recovering neat freak.) but have since learned... sleep is neccessary to survive and function! I have always dreamed of having someone to clean my house! Can you imagine all the "free" time I would have to par take in fun activities?? Well low and behold...

Yes, thats right my boys are helping me clean, and look Justyce even smiles while he cleans!! What kind of mom would I be if I took that away from him? I figured after a year or so of intensive trainning they could handle the whole house alone..

It can't be considered chid labor if they clean with a smile on their face... can it??

In Loving Memory...

My Grandpa passed away on May 1st of this year, he will be greatly missed!
Until we meet again...

Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there... I do not sleep.
I am the thousand winds that blow...
I am the diamond glints on snow...
I am the sunlight on ripened grain...
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you waken in the morning's hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of gentle birds in circling flight...
I am the soft star that shines at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry—
I am not there... I did not die...

You know you're a mom when....

Found these and thought I would share...

1.  Your kids' clothes are better than your own.
2.  You are able to change your clothes, use the toilet and be gargling with Listerine all at the same time.
3.  Your favorite part of the day is going sleep.
4.  You hear your mother's voice coming out of your mouth when you say, "NOT in your good clothes!"
5.  You stop criticizing the way your mother raised you
6.  You hide in the bathroom to be alone.
7.  You spend an entire week wearing sweats.
8.  You wonder why it was you ever feared being alone.
9.  You hope ketchup is a vegetable, since it's the only one your child eats.
10. You write blogs like this...

Gotta love Anne Taintor...

Midnight Mover Strikes Again...

As I have said before Rylee is somewhat of a "night owl", most of his best "work" is done after hours. For this reason we have taken many percations to minimize the temptations for him. We have first accepted the fact that no matter what we do, he does not sleep in his bed. His bed of choice is the loveseat or couch in our living room. Another step we have taken is putting locks on the refridgerator and the food cabinets. He went through a few weeks of helping himself to several "midnight" snacks. We hadn't had any problems for a couple of weeks until....

YES... that is BLACK SHARPIE all over our light tan, micro fabric loveseat!!! Having three boys, one might ask...How do you know which one is guilty of the crime?? Ruling Harper out for obvious reasons, that leaves Justyce and Rylee...

I rest my case, Rylee is guilty as charged!!
